In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Congress party has officially announced its first list of candidates, comprising 39 hopefuls. The decision follows extensive discussions within the party regarding candidate selection in recent days. On Friday, March 8, the party released the initial list of candidates, revealing where they will be contesting.

the list includes prominent names such as Rahul Gandhi and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Congress headquarters in Delhi, led by party leader KC Venugopal.

The Congress Candidates List for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 comprises 39 names, with representation from various categories. Out of these, 15 candidates belong to the general category, while 24 candidates are from the SC, ST, and minority communities. Notably, 12 candidates are below the age of 50.

The list features well-known figures like Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad, Bhupesh Baghel from Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh, and Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram. Tamradhwaj Sahu and KC Venugopal are also among the prominent names included.

This comprehensive list reflects the diversity and strategic selection process undertaken by the Congress party as they gear up for the Lok Sabha Elections in 2024.
